Can I apply a promo code to an order I placed before the sale/promotion was active on the site?

Sales and promo codes only apply to orders placed after the sale became live on the site. 

Example: If a sale/promotion starts on March 18th, any order placed BEFORE March 18th is ineligible for the discount and we cannot credit that cost back to you.
